An exciting opportunity exists…

The Denver Lady Bulldogs Australian Rules Football team is searching for a new head coach and assistant coaches for a leadership group to train and guide the team in 2019 and beyond.

Since 2008, the Lady Bulldogs have competed in Division I football in the United States Australian Rules Football League (USAFL) Central Region and have achieved great success, winning six National Championships.

2018 began a new chapter in the team’s history, with more than half of the players only in their first year. This is a unique opportunity for the new coaching staff to mold the team and develop another dynasty with a mix of experienced players and enthusiastic rookies.

The volunteer coaching positions require a commitment during the 2019 season from May until the USAFL National Tournament in Sarasota, FL on October 12 & 13. The coaching staff is encouraged to share the commitment to attend twice-weekly trainings, multiple games, and travel to a few tournaments across the U.S.

Volunteers (players) will manage the day-to-day administrative tasks and will communicate directly with the coaching staff. The Denver Bulldogs Board will also support the women’s coaching team.

Coaching or footy experience preferred, but more importantly, passion for women’s amateur sport is a must!

Please submit a letter of interest, including your coaching and/or footy experience to womens-ops@denverbulldogs.compresident@denverbulldogs.com and jkwaddell25@gmail.com by January 31, 2019.

We would also like to thank and congratulated Bruce Durrell for the legacy he has left behind. Brucey has been an amazing servant and head coach to the Lady Bulldogs and it would be hard to find a head coach with a better record in any sport. Brucey, we thank you for everything you have done for this team and wish you best of luck in all future endeavors. Please know you are always welcome at the Denver Bulldogs.
